Job description

We are seeking strong and reliable Mover/Drivers to become a part of the 5-star rated Let’s Get Moving Austin professional moving/packing team. This is an on-call, as-needed position - Shifts are not guaranteed week to week. This role is ideal for experienced mover/drivers looking to supplement their income with flexible work on their schedule (CDL preferred but not required). In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and assisting with moving services while ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills (26-foot truck), experience in moving, and the ability to handle heavy lifting.

What you need:

  • Solid experience driving 26-ft box truck or larger
  • Valid driver license required and minimum 2-year good driving record (commercial driver's license preferred but not required)
  • The ability to lift 75+ pounds, bend, squat, kneel and climb stairs consistently throughout the day
  • Previous experience with a moving company in residential or commercial moving
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed
  • Positive and collaborative attitude, commitment to teamwork is essential for success
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively

What you will do:

  • Safely operate a 26-foot box truck to transport items locally in Greater Austin area
  • Pack and unpack items as needed during the moving process
  • Basic furniture assembly and disassembly
  • Wrap furniture and items in protective material
  • Load, unload and move products, furniture and materials efficiently by hand or using basic moving equipment, ensuring that all goods are handled with utmost care
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and professionalism when interacting with clients and their property
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and work area.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the job
  • Assist with other tasks on the job site as required
