We believe that each employee's individual contributions make us the #1 White-Glove delivery company on the East Coast. We are currently hiring both Box-Truck and Straight Truck Drivers for our location in Boston, MA.


Description:

As a Delivery Associate for Groundtrans, you would follow standard company procedures and safety requirements while delivering packages in a timely and efficient manner. The Delivery Associate role is a physical, fast-paced position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying of big/bulky packages as part of a two-man team. Under tight deadlines, our delivery associates safely operate 16 foot box trucks as required to deliver/assemble orders to customers according to established procedures, in all weather conditions.


Compensation and Schedule:

This is a five-day-per-week delivery job, working as an employee and earning $20-$24/hour. Each week, you will have a stable schedule of 5 consecutive work days and 2 days off. Days are designed to be 10.5 hours long, including a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute paid breaks. If you meet the following conditions, you are encouraged to apply and start your $45,000+/year job!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Under tight appointment window deadlines, safely deliver and occasionally assemble products inside customers homes.
  • Operates smartphone applications to document proof of delivery and photo on delivery requirements
  • Maintains good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work and safety procedures
  • Account for, and adapt to, unexpected situations like weather conditions and traffic.
  • Keep proper logs of hours on the road and miles driven, following all company, state, and federal regulations.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections; ensuring the truck and associated equipment remains in good, working order; report all mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws and safety procedures.
  • Observe and report all defects, accidents, and violations.
  • Adhere to company guidelines while interacting with customers and serve as brand advocate.
Requirements:


  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and team lift > 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch repeatedly

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to pass a 7 year criminal background screening and an MVR Check
  • Valid DOT Medical Card preferred(We will pay for DOT Medical Card Exam for candidates without one, if you have relevant experience)
  • Must be reliable (variations in schedule/tardiness/absenteeism are NOT allowed)
  • 2 years experience in driving commercially - preferred but not mandatory
  • Previous assembly experience preferred.
