BOTTLING MAINTENANCE MECHANIC POSTING

Job Title: Production/Packaging Mechanic (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Suffolk County, NY

Salary: $18/hr to $23/hr Depending on experience (plus OT)

Shift: Both 1st shift (Monday through Friday)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Repair, replace, and troubleshoot various production and packaging equipment associated throughout the facility
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to operate efficiently
  • Communicate to Maintenance Supervisor/ Plant Manager any conditions that prevent the manufacture of product to established standards
  • Perform technical and administrative duties i.e. paperwork and daily reports
  • Work in a safe manner, in compliance with Company, State and Federal, OSHA, GMP's, SOP's and other company Policy and Procedures

Qualifications:

  • Mechanically and electronically inclined
  • Able to read blue prints and do layout work/sketches and use basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Prior experience as a Mechanic in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with food processing and packaging equipment
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
  • Strong technical ability and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
