FIORE CHICAGO is a floral preservation studio in the Chicago area that transforms wedding bouquets and meaningful flowers into lasting botanical art. The studio creates pressed flower frames and shadow boxes, each piece carefully designed by hand to highlight artistry, detail, and the character of the original blooms. FIORE CHICAGO serves clients in Chicago, the North Shore, and nationwide, providing professional wedding and bridal bouquet preservation. The studio’s work focuses on helping clients keep their most meaningful flowers on display for years through custom pressed floral artwork.


Role Description


The Floral Studio Assistant is a part-time role based in Glenview, IL and pays $17 an hour. This role supports day-to-day studio operations, including color-correcting (painting) flowers, ad-hoc event facilitation assistance, and running small errands nearby as needed to pick up materials (i.e. flowers, stationary, etc.) This person will all be responsible for social-media brainstorming and light editing. This role will be the owner's right hand and is great for someone who loves art, flowers, and looking for marketing/business management experience. The schedule is very flexible and will typically ask for 8-10 hours a week of work.


Qualifications

  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Art and Photography skills to support the design of botanical artwork and capture clear images of floral pieces and process stages. The right person can be trained and we are mostly looking for a willingness to learn
  • Research skills to learn and apply best practices in floral preservation, materials, and techniques.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and time management, especially when handling delicate flowers and multiple client orders
  • Ability to work on-site in Glenview, IL, and stand or perform hands-on tasks for extended periods.
  • Prior experience in art, craft, floral design, or studio work is required. This can be independent projects or in a professional capacity
