Position Type: Seasonal, Full-Time (Approximately 40 hours per week)
Schedule: Overtime and weekend work, including Thanksgiving weekend, may be required.
Opportunity: Seasonal positions may transition into year-round employment based on business needs and performance.
Position Summary
The Seasonal Holiday Installation & Production Technician is responsible for constructing holiday décor and props, including wreaths, trees, garland, and seasonal arrangements, under the direction of company designers and according to customer specifications. This position also assists with the installation of holiday décor at commercial client locations.
This is a seasonal position averaging approximately 40 hours per week. Weekend work, including Thanksgiving weekend, may be required. Opportunities for continued employment beyond the holiday season may be available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Construct holiday décor and props, including trees, wreaths, garland, and seasonal arrangements.
  • Assist with warehouse preparation, organization, and staging of materials.
  • Install live and artificial holiday decorations at commercial properties, both interior and exterior.
  • Follow written, verbal, and visual design instructions to ensure installations meet company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Complete projects within established labor budgets and scheduled timelines.
  • Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and fellow employees.
  • Minimize material waste and maintain cost-conscious work practices.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and maintain company equipment in good working order.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Creative with an eye for design and visual presentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Experience in design, holiday decorating, lighting, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Position Requirements

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Work on ladders and elevated platforms during installations.

  • Travel by company vehicle to commercial job sites.
