Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for a diverse population including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, utilizing standardized assessments complemented by detailed observations.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication skills, fluency, voice enhancement, and swallowing safety.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, registered nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to design integrated care plans.
• Empower patients and their families with education and strategies to continue progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed to ensure comprehensive patient care throughout the rehabilitation continuum.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth through continual education and peer engagement.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is not already attained.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
