California Respite Care is looking for individuals who are passionate and committed to caring for someone with a disability. Our services primarily focus on providing a much needed break to families caring for children and/or Teens/adults on the Autism spectrum and other related developmental disabilities. We provide parents and families the opportunity to take a break, relax, run errands,work, etc..,while keeping their child engaged in safe, fun and functional activities in their home.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with self-help skills (Feeding, toileting, dressing etc...)
  • Engaging clients in their preferred activities, (ex. reading books, playing with toys, playing outside, arts and crafts, etc)
  • Managing challenging behaviors (Ex. non-compliance, elopement, tantrums, etc...)
