Job description

If you've got a thing for organization and get a secret thrill out of spotting that one teeny-tiny error in a spreadsheet the size of a small novel, you're our kind of person. We're on the hunt for a Bookkeeper.
Looking for a gig where you're not just a number cruncher, but a valued part of a team that's all about the people? Well, you're in luck! Ivy Computer is not your average company, and we're on the lookout for brilliant minds like yours to grow with us. Picture this: a laid-back office where smiles are as common as coffee, and where your creativity is celebrated. Our crew is a bunch of happy, healthy, and well-rounded individuals who believe in going the extra mile for each other and our awesome customers.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll be working with our team on payroll processing, monthly bank statement reconciliations, managing general ledger transactions, and year-end processing. You'll also be cross-trained to handle some accounts payable and other routine bookkeeping tasks in the event that our other bookkeepers are out of the office.
What we're looking for:
Our ideal candidate has experience with payroll and reconciliations and is on a first-name basis with Excel. They also have a love for order, organization, and keeping things balanced (literally and figuratively) and are reliable, self-motivated, and likes working as part of a team.
Location & Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
The position is an in-office position in Waterbury Center, VT that currently allows for work-from-home time on Fridays after the initial onboarding process.
Pay Range:
$25-27/hour, depending on experience.
Benefits:
We've got medical insurance, an HRA for out-of-pocket expenses, dental and vision benefits, generous paid time off, 401k with a company match, life and disability insurance, a bonus plan, and opportunities for tuition reimbursement. Plus, our office is dog-friendly and we even throw in some free car detailing for good measure.
Just Be You, We Like You That Way! We firmly believe collaboration among team members with varied pasts and perspectives generates deeper insights, resulting in actions that better serve our customers, employees, and community. Our goal is to foster an inclusive environment, celebrate diversity, and value respect for one another. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities no matter who you are or where you are from.
So, does Ivy sound like the place for you?
If you're interested in joining our team, please submit a cover letter and resume.
Why do we want a cover letter? Don't worry, we're not after a robotic cover letter repeating what's on your resume. Share what makes you, well, you! What unique things do you bring to the table? Where are you hoping to take your career and how does Ivy fit into that picture? What drives you? Surprise us with the stuff that doesn't quite fit on a standard resume.
