Join Our Growing Team

Ideal Auto Group is seeking an experienced Accounting Bookkeeper Manager to oversee the accounting operations for our multi-location collision repair business. This is a leadership role responsible for managing daily bookkeeping functions, supervising accounting staff, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting shop operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily accounting and bookkeeping operations for multiple collision repair shops.
  • Supervise and train shop bookkeepers and accounting staff.
  • Review and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
  • Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
  • Reconcile insurance payments and customer deposits.
  • Monitor repair order (RO) accounting and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare month-end closing, journal entries, and financial reports.
  • Assist with payroll coordination and employee reimbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Work closely with shop managers, operations, and executive management.
  • Coordinate with external CPA during month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in automotive dealership or collision repair accounting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Dealer Management Systems (DMS), CCC, or Mitchell is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple locations and meet deadlines.
