STAFF ACCOUNTANT

THE DERMATOLOGY CLINIC, PLLC


The Dermatology Clinic, PLLC is the only full-service dermatology practice on the Gulf Coast under the direction of board-certified Dermatologists. Dr. Wingfield and Dr. Ortego and their team of physician assistants treat the full range of hair, skin, and nail disorders. In addition, we perform advanced techniques in skin resurfacing for scars and wrinkles, as well as botulinum treatment of wrinkles and all types of wrinkle fillers.


We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team! Voted "Best Places to Work on the MS Gulf Coast," The Dermatology Clinic, PLLC is a busy office with the goal of providing exceptional care and an excellent patient experience. This is a full time position, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday at our Pass Christian, MS office. Accounting/bookkeeping experience is required. Applicants must be detailed, well-organized, have an aptitude for numbers and thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Position Summary: The Staff Accountant responsibilities include using specialized ledgers and accounting software to record revenue, expenditures, cash management, payroll, transfers and other financial transactions. This position also ensures the integrity of accounting information by researching account issues for compliance and by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.


Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration required. Accounting/Bookkeeping experience required, preferably in the healthcare field. Experience with general ledger functions and month/year end close processes strongly preferred.


Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Proficiency in MS Office and Quickbooks software required.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The Staff Accountant role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Process cash receipts and the reconciliation of revenue and receivables for company.
  • Perform general account entries, analysis and reconciliations.
  • Manage invoice entry and tracking for A/P in Quickbooks, reconcile purchases with pending payment and proper cash management, and process check cutting cycle and mailing.
  • Work with Controller and staff to develop all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Submit 401k deferrals, loan payments and other contributions to vendor – ACH
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close process
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Perform all other duties as assigned at the discretion of the leadership team.
