Job Summary:
The Store Planner - Club Design is responsible for creating and maintaining fixture plans for all BJ's Wholesale Club locations, including both new and existing clubs. This role ensures accuracy and consistency across the chain by regularly updating the BJ's prototype drawing standards, fixture details, and elevation books, while ensuring all documentation aligns with current building codes and internal design guidelines.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop accurate and fully coordinated fixture plans for new clubs, remodels, and rollout/initiative projects, adhering to the latest prototypical guidelines and design standards. Ensure plans meet standards and construction specifications while balancing design aesthetics and operational requirements.
  • Perform fixture and equipment takeoffs for Procurement and create detailed installation plans for general contractors and fixture installers.
  • Collaborate with Store Operations, Procurement, Planning & Allocation, and Merchandising teams to finalize merchandise flow and specific fixture elevations for projects.
  • Partner with Construction and Facilities teams to troubleshoot and resolve in-field challenges.
  • Update and maintain the library of existing club fixture plans and scans, coordinating changes with internal business partners.
  • Maintain and revise prototype fixture plans for new clubs and building shells, along with the Fixture Detail Book and Elevation Book.
  • Support the team by providing input on conceptual site plan proposals involving modifications to prototype footprints.
  • Participate in on-site visits to new club openings and remodel projects to ensure design intent and execution quality.

Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in Architecture, Interior Design, or Space Planning.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Strong ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Travel = 10% required.

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $68,500.00 - $87,500.00
