Job description

The Account Manager in Personal Lines is responsible for retaining client accounts by working directly with the Account Executive and Risk Advisor to provide the best service to clients. ย 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:ย

  • Provides technical support to Risk Advisors and Account Executives; specifically, in analyzing client needs, coverage forms and quotes. ย 
  • Maintains a 95% policy and premium retention on an annual basis of the entire Personal Lines client book. ย 
  • Research accounts and service questions to support Risk Advisors and Account Executives. ย 
  • Alerts the Risk Advisors and Account Executives of every available opportunity to develop new accounts and new lines of coverage for existing accounts. ย 
  • Refers current and prospective clients to other services within to Hummel Group. ย 
  • Assists clients with making changes to their policy. ย  ย ย 
  • Reviews clients entire account with them upon each contact to ensure account is up-to-date and no other services are needed. ย 
  • Identifies exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages.ย 
  • Request renewal quotes from insurance carries, creates renewal proposals and handles other renewal activities in coordination with the Risk Advisor. ย 
  • Responsible for ensuring the clientโ€™s premiums are accurate and requoting/rewriting if necessary.ย 
  • Serves as a backup to sales and claims staff, as needed.ย 
  • Supports and adheres to agency goals and objectives to place and retain business with our clients.ย 
  • Supports and adheres to procedures to minimize the agencyโ€™s error and omission exposure.ย 
  • Provides outstanding customer service, teamwork and assist others in acquiring and perfecting these skills.ย 
  • Travels offsite to meet with clients and insurance company underwriters.ย 
  • Other duties as assigned.ย 
REQUIREMENTS: ย Education or Experienceย ย 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.ย ย ย 
  • Requires possession and maintenance of a Property and Casualty license.ย 
  • Must have aย current driverย license andย anย insurable driving record.ย ย ย 
  • Recommended possession of CISR or CISR Elite designation.ย 
Working Environment/ Physical Activitiesย 
  • General Office work environment. ย 
  • Requires regular use of arms, hands, and fingers. ย 
  • Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, reach with arm and hands, stand, walk, stoop, talk and hear. ย 
  • Required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. ย
