Job description

Job Summary: Prospecting, developing and maintaining customer relationships in an assigned geographic region. Coordinator is responsible for all activities to drive growth and includes but not limited to: Market research, marketing campaigns, account management and business development. Employee must be able to work independently as well as part of a team to meet the goals and expectations of the sales department.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Achieve territory revenue, margin and load count objectives based on budget expectations

  • Market Research consistent with Bolt Express operating plan to identify the top industries in an assigned territory.

  • Identify and prospect target leads within each industry in an assigned territory. 

  • Qualify new accounts by determining if they have a need for the services of Bolt Express.

  • Work with the Marketing department to design and execute marketing campaigns to promote the Bolt Express brand.   

  • Document and update customer profiles and specific information in the CRM and TMS systems.  Accurate and complete records are a requirement to ensure data integrity in all systems.

  • Create qualified leads in Bolt Express CRM for business development managers

  • Communicate customer information to Operations and Accounting teams as needed.

  • Must maintain regular follow-up with Operations team as it pertains to potential customers, requests for quotes, or customer needs.

  • Maintain and build relationships with customers via telephone, IM, social media and personal communications.

  • Represent Bolt Express in a manner which is consistent with our Mission statement

Other Duties:

  • Complete assigned projects in timely manner.
  • Participate in meetings as required.
  • Interaction with multiple departments as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by management.
  • Occasional travel to meet with customers face to face.
  • Attend networking and/or trade shows to prospect new business leads and build relationships with customers.
  • Cross training on Operational functions.
  • Participate in onboarding training within department.

Education, Experience, Skills, Other Training:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media tools such as FB, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
  • Negotiating and closing techniques
  • Problem resolution and analytical ability
  • Multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Computer skills with minimum ability to effectively utilize email (Outlook), create customer presentations (Powerpoint) and analyze customer data (Excel). Must also be able navigate and use Bolt’s CRM and TMS systems.

Physical Demands/Workplace Setting:

  • Must be physically able to:
    • Sit for extended periods of time
    • Use hands/fingers to effectively operate computer system
    • Reach with hands/arms
    • Communicate clearly via telephone
    • Have clear vision up to 20’
    • Have ability to adjust visual focus
