Location: Newaygo, MI
 
Pay: $18.07/hr
 
Shift: 2nd & 3rd Shift
 
Job Summary
 
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking Assembler/Machine Operators to join our team in Newaygo, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to assemble plastic and glass parts for the automobile industry. What You'll Be Doing
 
As an Assembler/Machine Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
  1. Assembly: Following written and visual guidelines or instructions to bolt, clip, screw, heat stake, or otherwise fasten parts together.
  2. Machine Operation: Tending machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations in the assembly cell.
  3. Rotation: Rotating to different stations as production needs require, which may include using various fixtures to attach parts such as springs, manually attaching electrical connectors, heater pads, gaskets, and grommets, and affixing mirror glass to actuators.
In addition, you will also be expected to work safely, maintain 5S and a clean work area, and complete all necessary paperwork on time and accurately, such as glass traceability, scrap sheets, daily production reports, 5S checklists, and start-up checklists.
 
What We're Looking For
 
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
 
Qualifications:
  1. Able to read and interpret a variety of written procedures, part numbers, part descriptions, and operation instruction sheets.
  2. Able to understand and write production tags and labels.
  3. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  4. Able to work well with employees in a team environment.
  5. Ability to pay attention to detail and take pride in work.
  6. Able to lift 25 lbs. (most parts weigh 5-8 lbs.).
Skills:
  1. Assembly Techniques: Ability to follow written and visual guidelines or instructions to fasten parts together using bolts, clips, screws, heat stake, or other methods.
  2. Machine Tending: Proficiency in tending machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations in an assembly cell.
  3. Adaptability: Ability to rotate to different stations as production needs require, including using various fixtures and attaching different components.
  4. Safety and Organization: Ability to work safely, maintain 5S standards, and keep a clean work area.
  5. Documentation: Ability to complete all necessary paperwork on time and accurately, such as glass traceability, scrap sheets, daily production reports, 5S checklists, and start-up checklists.
