Job description

Talking Rock Ranch in Prescott, AZ is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Building Maintenance Manager! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation: $85k

General Purpose:
Assists in the oversight of and provides for overall repair and maintenance of the entire facility, grounds upkeep, and contracted services such as trash, elevator, boiler, HVAC, and window cleaning.
 
Essential Duties:
  • Performs repairs and maintenance and ensures cleanliness of the entire facility.
  • Leads Project Management by managing and coordinating contracts and contracted services that pertain to the maintenance of the facility and grounds.
  • Coordinates with landscape maintenance to insure it is kept to established standards.
  • Oversees operation of mechanical and power equipment utilized in the maintenance of the facility.
  • Coordinates exterior property cleaning and maintenance in accordance with company standards.
  • Assists in interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work. Make recommendations when hiring, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Assists in the coordination of department members that may include, but is not limited to:
    • Housepersons, Carpenters, Electricians, Maintenance Staff, Plumber, and Security Officer.
  • Assists in monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Assists manager in communicating any changes or new policies and procedures to the department.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
  • Associates (AA) degree; or two to three years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in managing personnel.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequently stands, walks and sits; regularly uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks and hears.
  • Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, pushes, and pulls.
  • Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
  • Regularly works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Occasionally works in wet or humid (non-weather) conditions.
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles; toxic, or caustic chemicals.
  • Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
  • Driver’s License may be required.
  • Other applicable mechanical/equipment licenses (Boiler, HVAC etc).
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
