DEARBORN PUBLIC SCHOOLS STAFF POSITIONS TITLE: Boiler Operator (Engineer)
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A High school diploma and at least a High Pressure Boiler Operators license issued by the City of Dearborn.
2. A thorough knowledge of the operation and maintenance of high pressure boilers, gas and oil burners, vacuum pumps, air handlers, filters, water pumps and similar equipment.
3. Ability to plan, assign, supervise and review work for the custodial staff in the cleaning of the school building.
4. A thorough knowledge of various cleaning supplies, materials and their proper use.
5. The ability to establish and maintain harmonious working conditions with custodians and other employees of the school district, including Principals and Teachers.
6. An understanding and appreciation of the responsibility of the job, being almost on immediate call.
7. The ability to understand and effectively carry out written and oral instructions and to make reports.
JOB GOAL: To provide efficient operation of the assigned building according to the direction provided by the Plant Operations Manager to accommodate the educational program established by the Building Principal.
