Job description

Experienced Manufacturing Engineer

Company:

Boeing Global Services is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the BGS Manufacturing Engineering team in Long Beach, CA.

This position will focus on supporting building integration on a variety of programs across Boeing Commercial and Global organizations. Our team coordinates and implements engineering changes to Boeing Factories and suppliers all over the world. Additionally, we assist with emergent issues from the factory floors, process standardization efforts, periodic audits, and/or quality checks.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies

  • Participate as a leader and member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions

  • Lead and assist with the implement of manufacturing plans

  • Assist in the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build

  • Resolve technical problems and assist in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts

  • Leads and assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies

  • Work with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 5+ years of experience related to product development (configuration management, design, integration, etc.)

  • 5+ years of experience researching and implementing new technologies and innovative practices in manufacturing processes, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and quality in aerospace production

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience performing work per written documentation/authorities and knowledge of how release authority works

  • 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment, specifically loadable software and or equipment

  • 5+ years of experience working with multi-functional teams/organizations

  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis and / or process improvements

  • Experience with the following software PDM, CAPP, REDARS-EID, IVT, WIRS, EWITS, BWS-CM, CDS, EWIRE, E-PLAN, VELOCITY, ENOVIA, EWIRE, Equipment Manager
