First Line Electrical Engineering Manager

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a First Line Electrical Engineering Manager in Huntsville, AL. This manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution. You will be a technical leader, coach, and mentor, responsible for developing your team's skills and expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of program requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, and continuous ongoing feedback
  • Coordinating employee recruitment, selection, and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition, and disciplinary actions
  • Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, and promoting customer focus
  • Utilizing your strong knowledge in circuit card design experience to drive technical excellence.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Masters is preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience with Design Assurance process for circuit card designs and/or FPGAs
  • Experience in generating BOEs
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams - Full Lifecycle Development Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Earned Value Management Experience
  • Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, employee development and mentoring
  • Proposal Development Experience; Basis of Estimate (BOE) Development
  • Process Improvement and Affordability experience
  • Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
