ABOUT THE ROLE

Murray's Collision Group has been part of the Puget Sound community since 1984. We are a family-owned company with multiple locations across the greater Seattle area, known for quality repairs, a strong shop culture, and taking care of our team.


We are looking for an experienced body technician who takes pride in producing quality repairs and is comfortable working alongside two apprentice techs currently on staff. You will have the opportunity to shape how this shop develops while doing the work you know best.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform skilled collision repairs including structural work, sheet metal, welding, aluminum, and metal finishing
  • Work alongside and help develop two apprentice body techs currently on staff
  • Follow OEM repair procedures using resources such as Alldata, RTS, or manufacturer sites and document accordingly
  • Complete DFR processes, QC checklists, and repairs to manufacturer specifications
  • Communicate supplement needs, repair timelines, and status updates with the estimator and operations manager
  • Participate in daily production meetings and support on-time vehicle delivery
  • Maintain a clean, organized stall and follow all safety and hazardous waste protocols

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience as a collision body technician with hands on skills in structural repair, panel work, welding, and refinishing prep
  • Comfortable working with and helping to develop less experienced technicians
  • I-CAR certification or ASE Structural (B4) preferred; we support and fund ongoing training
  • Experience with frame and measuring equipment
  • Thorough, communicative, and takes ownership of their work from start to finish
  • Must provide own tools in working order
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
