As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will apply strong technical skills and sound judgment to solve complex manufacturing problems. You will be accountable for identifying root causes, driving robust corrective actions, and improving processes within the framework of established practices, policies, and standards. The role requires creativity, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and in crossfunctional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for your assigned area

  • Analyze and implement product and equipment designs to determine optimal manufacturing methods

  • Propose, justify, and implement process and equipment solutions for assigned operations

  • Interpret product math data and specifications to develop the tools, fixtures, and equipment needed to support production

  • Review and approve process, tool, and equipment designs; release tools to appropriate build sources and oversee build, tryout, and installation

  • Develop and maintain clear, accurate build process documentation for use on the shop floor

  • Collaborate with product and design engineering to assess and enhance manufacturing feasibility of new or revised designs

  • Provide technical direction and support to operations, maintenance, skilled trades, and external tool/design/build suppliers

  • Lead or provide occasional oversight to other engineers or technical support personnel to achieve project and departmental objectives

  • Monitor and evaluate process and equipment expenditures to ensure costeffective solutions

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant education and training

  • Demonstrated experience with manufacturing equipment, tools, and processes

  • Experience with automotive assembly processes and related tools and equipment

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with demonstrated rootcause capability

  • Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to varied audiences

  • High level of interpersonal skills and proven success working in crossfunctional team environments

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, exercising sound judgment, creativity, and initiative

  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and competing priorities in a dynamic, complex manufacturing environment

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
