Job description

Gates Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team in Granger, IN. In this role, you will play a key part in restoring vehicles to their original condition by performing precise body repairs and refinishing work. You will work closely with the team to ensure high-quality repairs and excellent customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Perform body work and repairs on damaged vehicles including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
  • Communicate supplemental damage with service advisors 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
  • Use computerized measuring systems and other equipment to ensure accuracy in repairs
  • Collaborate with insurance adjusters and other departments as needed
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Body Shop Technician or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes and bodywork techniques
  • Ability to operate body shop equipment and tools safely and effectively
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
