Job description

The Parts Warehouse Clerk is responsible for receiving, stocking, and distributing automotive parts within the dealership’s warehouse. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely order fulfillment, and efficient support for both internal departments and external customers.

Key Responsibilities


• Receive and inspect incoming parts shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Accurately log and stock parts in designated warehouse locations.
• Pick and stage parts for service technicians, body shop, and retail counter orders.
• Process parts returns, cores, and warranty claims according to dealership and manufacturer policies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage areas.
• Assist with regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare outgoing shipments and coordinate with delivery drivers or shipping vendors.
• Communicate with the Parts Manager and team regarding inventory needs and order status.
• Operate material-handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) safely and in compliance with dealership policy.

Qualifications

Experience
• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or automotive parts experience preferred.
• Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) is a plus.
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with inventory or DMS software.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
