Job description

The Embroidery Machine Specialist is responsible for operating the embroidery machine. The specialist is required to program the names into a PC, hoop and load the item onto the machine, and verify the final product meets our quality standards. The embroidered item must be produced on time and match the customer request. Other duties include general light maintenance of the machine, threading the machine and troubleshooting issues.
  • Operate machinery to produce quality products within established time standards.
  • Perform pre and post-operational inspections of equipment to assure safe and proper operation.
  • Set up or adjust production machine(s) as required by the department to support the manufacturing effort.
  • Documents accurate production reports and equipment information as required.
  • Communicates with Maintenance Shop Technician of specific problems as they arise.
  • Clean equipment and surrounding work area when finished or as needed.
  • Assist and communicate with the Supervisor regarding unsafe or unusual equipment issue or conditions, damaged or unusual condition of material and ingredients, problem prevention, identification correction and any product quality issues.
  • Adjusts machine to meet standards.
  • Promotes a team environment in manufacturing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High School diploma, GED Certificate or equivalent work-related experience is preferred.
  • Some previous work-related experience helpful, but not required.
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving of whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling of materials, and lifting more than 30 pounds.
  • Working near moving mechanical parts
  • Will be working in dust noise and varied temperatures (65ยฐ- 95ยฐ), elevation up to 30 ft., and tight spaces.
  • Food Safety, Dress Code and Sanitation requirements must be followed.
  • Must be flexible to schedule changes.
  • Honest and respectful communication.
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.
