What You'll Do:
Join our team at VVG as an Apprentice Body Shop Technician! This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are eager and motivated to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of body shop operations and technician duties. We offer extensive training, including valuable hands-on experience shadowing one of our master technicians. As an Apprentice Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for various tasks, such as performing body restoration on trucks, working on rear and front axles, replacing transmissions, radiators, compressors, starters, frame rails, fifth wheels, and roofs. Additionally, you'll handle electrical work on trucks and address body restoration for damaged vehicles. Communication is key as you'll notify the Manager of any additional repairs needed, report difficulties or problems that may impact the quality of work, and ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards. Job Duties:
  • Performs body restoration for trucks
  • Performs work on rear and front axles
  • Replaces transmission, radiators, and compressors
  • Replaces starter, frame rails, fifth wheel and roof
  • Performs electrical work on trucks
  • Performs body restoration of damaged truck
  • Notifies Manager of any additional repairs needed
  • Notifies Manager of any difficulties or problems that may prevent quality job from being performed or cause a change in promised time
  • Maintains tools and equipment in proper state of repair
  • Operates all tools and equipment safely
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint and other hazardous materials
  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of trucks
  • Complies with all federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination, and background check.
