Priority Ford in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Body Shop Technician to join our growing collision repair team. As part of Lithia & Driveway, one of the largest automotive retailers in the U.S., you'll be backed by a company that invests in training, technology, and long-term career growth.
At Priority Ford's Body Shop, we are looking for a technician who can go beyond basic collision repair-someone with strong mechanical ability and suspension experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality, safe, and precise repairs.
Position Overview
The Body Shop Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing collision-damaged vehicles, including structural, mechanical, and suspension systems. This role requires a well-rounded technician who can handle both body and mechanical repair work efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform collision repairs on Ford and all makes/models
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and suspension damage related to collisions
  • Remove, repair, and replace damaged body panels and structural components
  • Perform quality checks to ensure vehicle safety and proper alignment
  • Work closely with estimators and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and shop standards

Required Qualifications
  • I-CAR certification (current or in progress preferred)
  • ASE certifications required or strong ASE-based experience in mechanical systems
  • Strong background in mechanical and suspension repair
  • Experience in collision/body shop repair environment
  • Ability to work on a variety of makes and models
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
