What are your contributions to the team?

Reporting to the Manager Warranty & ASF Management, the Warranty Administrator will be responsible for assessing Warranty claims and all other claims for Bombardier Aviation including narrow body and wide body aircraft. As part of a team, the candidate will work with various databases, aerospace standard documentation, as well as suppliers to adjudicate warranty claims with a high level of professionalism and customer service.

In your role, you will:

  • Adjudicate Warranty claims, service orders, sales orders, all other claims submitted from customers their representative, authorized service facility (ASF), Bombardier Service Centers (BAS) in a web-based SAP / Customer Portal environment.
  • Supply status of warranty for customer claims and communicate the adjudication of said claims.
  • Provide information sessions with customers and service partners on a scheduled and unscheduled basis.
  • Help to create and work with flat-rated man hour list for removal and installation of aircraft components.
  • Produce reports, administer policies and develop propositions regarding improving warranty cost trends and administration techniques.
  • Represent the warranty department in various meetings, such as, Customer Review Board Meeting (CSRB) & Steering Committee (CRSC), Failure Review Board (FRB), and ensure awareness of upcoming technical improvement changes (ex. Service Bulletins, Advisory Wires, program change requests (PCRs), program change approvals (PCAs), etc.)
  • Support the development of processes and IT systems that will improve / enhance Warranty operations and efficiency.
  • Perform under limited supervision in a remote office scenario.
  • Ensure that your work is compliant with Bombardier Warranty Programs, Schedule A (customer contracts) and/or like documentation that may be in place.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You have a technical College (AME) diploma or equivalent, with 3 to 8 years in aircraft industry aftermarket areas (i.e. Part Logistics, service center, contracts, customer support). Hands on aviation experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of BA contracts, Schedule “A” guidelines and warranty policies is required.
  • You have knowledge of aircraft systems, technical manuals, service bulletins publications and maintenance schedule.
  • You have basic evaluation and research skills to search and interpret information from databases and administer customer claims and questions.
  • You are able to rapidly determine the level of effort and tasks required to perform warranty work on aircraft.
  • You have the ability to input, edit, retrieve, format and generate diverse reports and documents, using a variety of applications.
  • You have excellent working knowledge and experience in a Windows environment (Microsoft Suite).
  • SAP knowledge would be an asset.
  • You are able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • You have strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • You are fluent in English (oral and written); French fluency would be considered an asset.
