Position Summary: The Janitor/Housekeeper will receive direct supervision from the Residential Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor. The Janitor/Housekeeper will comply with established policies and procedures that may be imposed from time to time, The Janitor/Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the overall physical cleanliness of the community.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Vacuum, mop and clean all entrances.

- Vacuum and mop all floors in common areas.

- Dust furniture, molding and woodwork in halls, library, mail room, sitting room and any other common area.

- Clean rest rooms.

- Clean laundry rooms.

- Vacuum or mop and polish elevator.

- Clean office.

- Clean windows, mirrors and pictures in common areas.

- Empty trash containers daily in common areas.

- Other duties may be required, from time to time, for the good of the property.

- Meet/exceed established performance goals. Additional performance requirements may be communicated.

- Job Knowledge - Demonstrate a thorough understanding of his/her job processes and procedures. Efficiently use resources (including staff and management) to obtain additional knowledge.

- Cooperativeness -Demonstrate a 'can do' attitude by responding positively to instructions. Follow instructions and work harmoniously with others to complete the job or task.
