Position Overview

At Truck & Trailer, with our trusted partner True North Fleet Services, we are looking for an experienced Body Shop Technician who takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, and doing the job right the first time.

This role supports fleet uptime and appearance through high-quality collision repair, refinishing, structural repair, and restoration of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform collision and body repairs on heavyduty trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment
  • Complete body preparation, refinishing, painting, welding, fiberglass, and structural repairs
  • Assess vehicle damage and determine the appropriate repair approach
  • Take ownership of assigned repairs from initial assessment through final quality inspection
  • Repair and replace damaged body panels and components
  • Perform frame and structural repairs as required
  • Ensure proper fit, finish, alignment, and structural integrity
  • Maintain high standards for craftsmanship, safety, and quality
  • Accurately document repairs, materials, and work completed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with estimators, technicians, and shop leadership to maintain an efficient workflow
  • Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional body repair, collision, refinishing, or related experience preferred
  • Heavyduty truck, trailer, commercial vehicle, or equipment experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with body preparation, painting, welding, fiberglass, panel replacement, and/or frame repair
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of collision repair processes
  • Ability to assess damage and perform repairs independently
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Ability to manage time effectively and remain productive in a fastpaced environment
  • Dependable, safetyminded, and accountable for quality
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license required
  • CDL is a plus, but not required
