Job description

The City of Three Rivers Department of Public Services is seeking a qualified individual for full-time Operator. This position is responsible for performing operational duties within the Department of Public Services. Operational duties include street, sanitary sewer, water system, airport, cemetery, and park maintenance. Essential duties include reading water meters, performing water shut-offs and reconnects, locating curb stops, plowing with a 1-ton truck, mowing at the airport, mowing of right-of-ways, installing/removing the boat dock, rebuilding/repainting picnic tables, building and installing signs, petting zoo building maintenance and all other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements: High school graduate or GED, MI Driver’s License, and possess the knowledge and ability to perform the job functions required for the position. The individual in this position must also be willing to work assigned shift hours and be available for evening and/or weekend work as required. This position will also require an employee to achieve their Class B CDL license with air brakes within six (6) months of hire. Employees will only be reimbursed for license costs after successfully obtaining their Class B CDL license.

This is a full‐time union position with a pay range of $19.64 - $24.55/hour.
