Job description

In keeping with the mission and values of Big Thunder Marine, and the pledge to maintain our presence as the premier watercraft dealer at the Lake of the Ozarks, the Boat Detailer serves to complete customer. You will ensure the continued growth and success of our company by focusing on quality and efficient completion of tasks assigned on any given day. At all times your work is to enhance our customer service experience while creating lasting relationships with our clients.
Essential Functions Statement(s)
โ€ข Inspects inventory on a daily basis and reports any deficiencies.
โ€ข Wash and detail inventory so it is show ready at all times.
โ€ข Exterior Cleaning of the hull and deck
โ€ข Interior cleaning of the upholstery, carpets which includes vacuuming and polishing this also includes other interior surfaces.
โ€ข Clean, handle and maintain tools and equipment, using solvents, brushes, power spray, hoses and rags.
โ€ข Perform quality checks throughout and at completion of jobs assigned to them or the team.
โ€ข Keep a clean and safe work area. Follow safety procedures to protect themselves and those around them.
โ€ข Responsible for following the quality systems procedures and standard operating procedures of Sales.
โ€ข Cleans customer boats and ensures they are ready for pick up. โ€ข Ability to stand, reach, bend, stoop and climb ladders. โ€ข Polishes and waxes boats as needed.
โ€ข Communicating with customers, managers, and salesmen to ensure satisfaction for each vessel.
โ€ข Reports all damage or malfunctioning equipment to the Sales Director and Detail Manager.
โ€ข Additional duties and projects as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred
Experience: Experience preferred of boat cleaning and detailing.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills needed
Certifications & Licenses: Must possess a valid MO driver's license and MO Boater License
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typical office environment with moderate noise level when working indoors. Outdoor and marine environment may contain uneven and slippery surfaces. Noise level may increase substantially upon interaction with watercraft.
