Job description

The Yard Team Member is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and overall functionality of our yard or outdoor storage area. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Yard Maintenance: Keep the yard clean, organized, and free from debris, ensuring it is a safe and functional space.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate yard equipment, such as forklifts, tractors, and power tools, safely and efficiently.
  • Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking items in the yard, and ensuring proper storage.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading materials, products, or equipment as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintenance Support: Assist in basic maintenance tasks, including equipment cleaning, servicing, and minor repairs.
  • Customer Assistance: Provide support to customers by locating and retrieving items from the yard, answering inquiries, and offering assistance.
  • Organization: Arrange and stack items neatly and according to company guidelines.
  • Reporting: Report any safety hazards, incidents, or inventory discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other yard team members and departments to meet organizational goals.
