Job description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $66.44hr - $71.44hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 6+ years of experience; or 4+ years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree; minimum 10+ years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
  • Candidate must currently have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Expert in installation, configuration, and customization of BMC Remedy and Helix platforms, including ITSM and CMDB, running in a containerized infrastructure.
  • Advanced technical understanding of TCP/IP networks and current products and networking technologies like routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes and associated tools.
  • Competency with various devices that use the network, including computers/servers running Windows and Linux, Hypervisors like VMware, and container ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced communication subsystem hardware/software for multi-domain (space, ground, airborne) applications.
  • Manage the lifecycle from initial concept development through hardware/software implementation, test, delivery, and sustainment.
  • Lead multi-disciplined engineering teams in the development of new capabilities and manage subcontractors.
  • Leverage knowledge in requirements development, parts, materials, architectures, and process flow down.
  • Execute System Verification and Validation following Systems Engineering processes.
  • Design, integrate, and operate secure military communications networks over multiple domains.
  • Deliver detailed network schematics, hardware selections, and software configurations that meet performance requirements.
  • Employ necessary tools and procedures to meet cyber-security requirements for sensitive/classified communications systems.
  • Operate as part of an integrated product team to configure and troubleshoot various networking devices and network problems.

Nice to Have:

  • DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Professional certification specific to the networking industry such as CCNA or equivalent.
  • Experience with network design, architecture, specifications, and equipment selection.
  • Experience with IPv4 and IPv6 network design, including IP subnetting and protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
  • Experience with network device configuration and troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE).
  • Strong understanding of features like GRE, IPSEC, DMVPN, GetVPN, IP quality-of-service, VLANs, and multicast.
  • Strong understanding of network security features like IP access-lists, stateful protocol inspections, and Next-Gen firewalls.
  • Familiarity with network management protocols like SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS/TACACS.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, including PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Familiarity with network management applications like Client , Firepower Management Center (FMC), and/or Cisco ISE.
  • Exposure to the Risk Management Framework, associated security controls, and STIGs.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, VMWare, Rancher, Kubernetes and container configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with HAIPE/TACLANE and other military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment and procedures.
  • Experience with tactical/military radio networks, like Common Data Link (CDL) and ANW2.
  • Experience with (MIL) SATCOM equipment and services.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications / VoIP and VTC.
