Job description

Company Overview:

BlueStar is a leading global solutions-based distributor of Point-of-Sale, Bar-coding, data collection, radio frequency identification (RFID), and Wireless mobility products. BlueStar works exclusively with Value Added Reseller Partners, providing them with complete solutions at competitive prices. The company brings unequaled expertise to the market, offers award-winning technical support, and is an authorized service center for a growing number of manufacturers.

Job Purpose:

To fulfill the daily tasks of assisting with shipping needs. Ensuring that the correct product and correct product quantities are being shipped within BlueStar standards while helping to maintain a clean, safe and harmonious work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with completing "Bill of Ladings" for each shipment with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Monitor order reporting to verify orders are Picked, Packed and Shipped in a FIFO manner daily.
  • Assist with the organization of the Shipping Dock and Loading Process
  • Assist with Picking/Packing large format displays
  • Other duties as assigned by Shipping Manager.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of basic terms and processes involving FTL/LTL and international shipments.
  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with Bills of Lading and a WMS system.
  • Basic Computer and Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Good literacy, math and communication skills, well organized.
  • Stand-up Forklift or Pallet Rider experience is a plus.
  • Have the ability to lift 50+ pounds, from floor level to a bench top, and the ability to stand for 8 hours or more each day.
  • The ability to read, identify, and comprehend alphanumeric part number schemes up to 30 characters long.
