New Construction Roofing Estimator (Blueprint & Takeoff Specialist)

Phoenix, AZ 85040 | In-Office | Full-Time | $80,000–$100,000 Annual Salary (DOE) + Commission | $2,500 Sign-On Bonus (Paid After 90 Days)

American Roofing & Waterproofing is a proudly family-owned and operated company expanding our New Construction Division and seeking an experienced roofing professional with strong blueprint reading and full takeoff expertise.

We are looking for a detail-driven estimator who understands current market pricing, maintains strong distributor relationships, and can confidently interpret construction documents to produce accurate and competitive bids.

This is not an entry-level role — we are seeking a seasoned estimator who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Compensation

• $80,000–$100,000 annual salary based on experience• Commission opportunities• Performance bonuses• $2,500 sign-on bonus paid after 90 days

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret commercial and residential new construction blueprints• Perform complete and accurate material takeoffs• Calculate square footage, linear footage, and system requirements• Prepare and submit detailed roofing estimates• Stay current on roofing material pricing and market trends• Maintain strong working relationships with distributors• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams• Manage multiple bids and timelines efficiently

Required Experience

Minimum 5+ years of roofing estimating experience• Strong blueprint reading and full takeoff experience• Knowledge and experience bidding the following systems:

  • TPO Roofing Systems

  • PVC Roofing Systems

  • Metal Roofing Panels

  • Metal Wall Panels

  • General Sheet Metal

• Experience estimating roofing systems including:

  • Tile

  • Shingle

  • Foam

• Fluent with current roofing distributors and sourcing processes• Up to date on market pricing and material availability

• Proficient in estimating platforms such as:

  • PlanSwift

  • Bluebeam

  • Procore

  • BuildingConnected

  • ConstructConnect

  • Bid Board

• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PDF tools)
