The Opportunity:
Blueberry is on a mission to make high quality pediatric care available to everyone. In this role, you will join a wonderful community of physicians who are fueled by that mission. Beyond that, you'll have the opportunity to do what you do best REMOTELY!. Our physicians love being a part of Blueberry for three key reasons:
  1. They get to practice high-quality, evidence based medicine.
  2. Their voices matter and our Chief Medical Officer is a pediatrician who represents the voices of the doctors at the executive level.
  3. They may be home alone, but they never feel alone. We are a community of doctors who help each other out!

Who You Are:
  • You are responsible and self-motivated. We do not micromanage.
  • You uphold Blueberry's values. You are committed to making sure that every parent has a great experience.
  • You are empathetic. You do a great job of making parents feel heard and understood.
  • You are a person of integrity. We do not prescribe just to satisfy parents. We practice evidence based medicine. We expect all Blueberry doctors to uphold that bar.
  • You are a collaborative partner to our other doctors and our customer support team, with whom you will work to ensure holistic patient care.

Role Details/Requirements:
  • This is a 1099 contract role.
  • You are expected to fulfill a minimum 20-30 hours of on-call time per week*, predominantly (at minimum 75%) extended weekend hours (from Friday at 4pm through Monday end of day EST). Blueberry does not guarantee all of these hours be scheduled for pay (ex. low volume months like summer)
    • May include some overnight hours (1am - 7am EST)
    • Time frame subject to change
  • In addition to shift hours, we ask that you pick up overflow visits when not on call (you will be compensated $25 per overflow visit you take while not on call). This is a great way to make quick money!
  • It is expected that you accomplish at least 5 or more visits per hour. You will be compensated at a higher hourly rate if you are able to do more than that (ask us for more info).
  • You are an experienced multitasker and are well versed in managing an EMR.
  • You have no conflict of interest with your current job at a competing pediatric telehealth company.

Holiday Hour Requirement:
  • Major holidays - 6 hours total required (2 shifts)
  • Days around major holidays - 9 hours required (3 shifts - can be spread over several dates)
  • Minor holidays - 15 hours required (5 shifts - can be split over 3-4 holidays)

Okay so....Why Work At Blueberry?
Need more convincing? Trust us, we know what the clinical world is like. That's why we want to make sure that our doctors experience benefits that most clinics would never offer. Such as:
  • Contribute to a mission-driven health-tech company that is out to improve the child healthcare experience!
  • Amazing camaraderie amongst the team as we function as a medical group.
  • Malpractice provided
  • Initial licenses reimbursed by Blueberry (and we help you obtain them!).
  • Partial license renewal reimbursement:
    • Will need about 5 licenses total
    • Minimum 3 year commitment or payback of licenses
  • CME paid for by Blueberry.
  • Stipend for remote office equipment.
  • Quarterly bonuses based on hours worked, quality of care, and feedback.

*Blueberry may not be able to guarantee the minimum 20 hours per week every month (example, lower volume months)
Expected wage for this role: $85-100++/hr (calculated by on-call hours + visits completed - ask for more info and we'd be happy to share how compensation is broken out!)
