Position Overview

Blue Ridge Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work remotely, providing essential mental health services to diverse populations through telehealth. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and create personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Document all client interactions and maintain clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools as part of the therapeutic process.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement positive behavior support plans for clients.
  • Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes, supporting the clinic's ongoing compliance and best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and relevant service systems, including state agencies and community partners.
  • Maintain open communication with clients and their support networks to ensure treatment alignment and effective advocacy.
  • Engage with local, state, and federal agencies to build partnerships and secure additional resources for your clients.
  • Participate in continued professional education through workshops, conferences, and state meetings to elevate your expertise.
  • Promote and embody the agency's mission and values in all client interactions.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as delegated by the Clinic Director to enhance clinic operations and client satisfaction.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LMHC will work with a diverse client base, including those experiencing mental health disturbances, substance use issues, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Our focus is on person-centered care, striving to meet each client where they are in their recovery journey and providing them with the tools necessary to achieve their goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required for this position.
  • An independent LMHC license issued by the state board is mandatory.
  • Strong capability to manage clinical records and prepare detailed reports effectively.
  • Proficient in working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make independent decisions based on professional knowledge and ethical standards.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $86,000 to $103,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
