Position Overview

Blue Ridge Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team as a Telehealth Specialist. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans, as well as pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies tailored to the individual's needs.
  • Maintain timely and precise clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools in collaboration with the clinical team to inform treatment approaches.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement effective positive behavior support interventions.
  • Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes, demonstrating adherence to the highest standards of care.
  • Establish and sustain open communication with relevant service systems, community partners, and state agencies to enhance service delivery and access.
  • Foster relationships with local, state, and private organizations to promote programs and identify new collaboration opportunities for expanded funding and services.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through attending conferences, completing training, and participating in task forces related to your field.
  • Embrace the agency's mission, values, and philosophy to drive the provision of high-quality mental health care.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our programs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adults and adolescents experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our committed focus is on helping clients achieve improved mental health and wellness through tailored therapeutic interventions that respect their unique backgrounds and personal stories.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is essential for this role.
  • Possession of an Independent LMHC License issued by the state board is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate clinical records and generate related reports efficiently.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment are crucial.
  • Effective communication skills to express ideas clearly and concisely to clients and colleagues.
  • Sound judgment and the capacity to make independent, informed decisions based on clinical expertise.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in community mental health settings or similar environments is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with telehealth platforms and digital health tools is advantageous.
  • Background in substance use recovery programming is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 86,000 to 103,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Beyond a solid salary, we provide :
