THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN THE LURAY, VA OPERATIONS CENTER WITH FLEXIBILITY TO WORK FROM HOME ON A HYBRID SCHEDULE
Position Description
This position requires an intermediate to advanced understanding of loan products and in-depth loan industry experience, and the ability to handle complex maintenance and service activities. This position supports our customers' loan servicing needs and contributes to the development and improvement of all processes, as well as to the objectives of the team and business. The incumbent directly faces internal and external customers and prioritizes delivery of excellent experience, using strong communication and diplomacy skills, while simultaneously managing a variety of standard loan servicing activities.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Basic understanding of loan documentation and the ability to apply language to system entries
โ€ข Perform intermediate to advanced loan maintenance, code corrections and/or changes, reversals and reapplication of payments
โ€ข Perform manual interest accrual calculations
โ€ข Perform loan boarding to core operating systems with accuracy
โ€ข Process system conversions (i.e.: construction to permanent loan)
โ€ข Participate in the production year-end regulatory tax reporting and corrective reporting
โ€ข Perform loan document quality assurance functions
โ€ข Perform loan boarding quality assurance activities
โ€ข Partner with Financial Accounting in the balancing of loan general ledgers accounts daily/monthly; provide support in researching of out-of-balance situations
โ€ข Add escrow records/build escrow screens on loans when appropriate
โ€ข Perform insurance monitoring, tracking, and force placement activities
โ€ข Process escrow disbursements and analysis according to bank procedures
โ€ข Perform collateral maintenance activities including recording, filing, releasing, etc.
โ€ข Perform credit bureau reporting and correction functions
โ€ข Report and maintain loan document exceptions
โ€ข Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and be a team player
โ€ข Responds to or to requests from customers and other Bank personnel within given time frames and within established policy
โ€ข Supports other teammates within the team
โ€ข Understanding assigned process and procedures as it relates to the job task
โ€ข Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with the Bank's BSA/AML Policy and Procedures
โ€ข Ensure excellent service is provided to our internal partners and customers
โ€ข Identifies and resolves issues within assigned functions
โ€ข Performs all other job duties as assigned
โ€ข Provide a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling and having access to sensitive information.

โ€ข Perform research with regard to complex loan and general ledger accounts
โ€ข Manage complex syndication, participation and SWAP transactions
โ€ข Perform complex manual system updates, form generation, and billing schedules
โ€ข Assist with SBA, Federal Reserve Bank, and FHLB pledging reporting activities
โ€ข Handle customer requests

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years loan servicing experience or 3 years of operations or related experience
  • Banking, accounting or finance experience required
