Job description

IMMEDIATE OPENING! Rise Academy, a high performing Lubbock charter school, seeks a middle school Reading-Language Arts teacher. This is a high stakes, highly demanding position open only to the most select candidates. The chosen candidate may start as a teacher apprentice or as a lead teacher, depending on experience and circumstances. Must have a bachelor's degree (English or liberal arts preferred) and have a strong presence with challenging students. Certification is optional. Some experience strongly preferred. Although this is an immediate opening, the position may go unfilled for weeks or even months if a most suitable candidate is not found. Starting salary ranges from $42,000 for an apprentice or inexperienced teacher to a much higher salary for an experienced lead teacher requiring less mentoring and training.
