Job description

Position Overview: Plans, lays out, assembles, installs metal parts, equipment, and products according to company specifications and blue prints. Position requires a wide range of welding skills including light tacking to heavy flat, up weld, and overhead weld. Operate a variety of power tools including, but not limited to saws, grinders, drills, welders, and overhead cranes. Must be able to comply with company safety policies, keep work area clean, and possess the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Other related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible
  • Must have basic knowledge of Mig, Tig, and Stick welding operations
  • The ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment such as electric arc welders, and gas welders
  • The ability to read and understand blue prints
  • Knowledge of occupational; hazards and safety precautions applicable to the welding trade
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering on improvement projects
  • Support the efforts of Lean and Continuous Improvement teams
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirement

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, equivalent, or two (2) years related work experience.
  • Successfully Pass a 3G plate test
  • Read and follow blue prints
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of related work experience

  • Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps and use ladder.

  • Ability to work in an uncontrolled climate environment (heat, cold, and humidity)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds following safety procedures.
  • Ability to push/pull 100 pounds following safety procedures.
  • Vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be physically able to meet post offer testing requirements.

  • Knowledge of machines, tools, their uses benefits, and maintenance
