Overview
Imagine a career that not only facilitates communication but also inspires purpose with every interaction. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the welcoming town of Gilbert, your role transcends traditional therapy. You will be the catalyst for newfound possibilities, helping individuals regain confidence and forge connections - from young children discovering the joy of expressing themselves to elders reclaiming their voices and independence.
This position presents an extraordinary chance to engage with a diverse clientele spanning all age groups. Here, outpatient therapy is complemented by occasional inpatient support, providing you with a versatile work environment. Whether your strength lies in nurturing the speech development of children, navigating the complexities of adult neurogenic disorders, or facilitating cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for seniors, there's a place for your passion.
Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and thorough observations.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate challenges and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Implement individualized speech therapy techniques focusing on communication skills, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to design cohesive treatment strategies.
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and their families to aid their progress outside of clinical settings.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to maintain continuity in patient care.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in the field through education and collaboration with peers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Skills
  • Expertise in evidence-based interventions for various age groups, with a deep comprehension of speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
  • Outstanding communication skills that foster trust and understanding with patients, families, and integrated care teams.
  • Flexibility in adapting therapeutic approaches to meet the unique cultural and linguistic needs of each patient.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills rooted in clinical judgement.
  • Proficient in utilizing electronic medical records and maintaining documentation standards.
Benefits
  • Attractive salary package aligned with experience.
  • Flexible scheduling options to promote work-life balance and dynamic caseloads.
  • Opportunities to pursue specializations in pediatrics, neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans available for you and your family.
  • Support for continuing education and professional growth.
  • A collaborative workplace culture that prioritizes quality care and nurturing lifelong learning.

A Meaningful Career Awaits You
Your responsibilities will extend beyond providing exceptional speech therapy; you'll join a mission-driven community dedicated to amplifying voices, enhancing communication, and celebrating the joy of understanding one another. Here, you will forge relationships that feel like family, within a collaborative atmosphere that thrives on support rather than competition. Each patient carries a unique narrative - we're counting on you to help articulate their story.
Why You'll Love Gilbert - The Ideal Mix of Modern Convenience and Timeless Charm
In Gilbert, a town filled with vibrant energy, you'll discover the perfect blend of modern living and rural charm. With a backdrop of stunning mountains and clear blue skies, outdoor enthusiasts will find a wealth of activities, from hiking trails to serene parks that invite picnics and leisure walks. Families can spend weekends exploring engaging community events and farmer's markets bustling with fresh produce and local delights. Culinary adventurers can indulge in a diverse array of dining options, ranging from cozy cafes to award-winning restaurants serving innovative cuisine inspired by local flavors.
In this welcoming community, you will appreciate more than just a job. The absence of state income tax, a manageable cost of living, and a rapidly expanding healthcare field create an environment where both professional and personal lives can flourish. Whether you're a recent graduate or an experienced practitioner excited to make your mark, Gilbert is the perfect canvas for your growth journey.
The Ideal Candidate
We are eager to find a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated not just by outcomes but by a deep sense of empathy. You see potential where others see obstacles; you hear not just words, but the desire for expression.
