Our Team
Bloomberg's Buy-Side Solutions business delivers global, multi-asset technology solutions across portfolio management, trading, compliance, operations, analytics and enterprise risk. This coverage role spans across our Order Management, Portfolio Management and Risk functionality. Bloomberg's OMS AIM is a leading multi-asset Order Management System (OMS) supporting portfolio management, trading, compliance and operations workflows across 900+ firms globally. PORT Enterprise is acomprehensive portfolio and risk analytics platform enabling performance attribution, multi-factor risk modeling, portfolio construction and enterprise reporting. Bloomberg's Multi-Asset Risk System providing consolidated front-to-back risk analytics powered by Bloomberg's pricing library, market data and mortgage cash flow engine. Our goal is to deliver the most scalable, integrated buy-side technology suite in the market - enabling clients to grow assets, expand into new asset classes, manage enterprise risk, and optimize portfolio strategy without operational disruption.
What's the Role?
As a Buy-Side Solutions Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving strategic engagement, adoption, and revenue growth across Bloomberg's AIM, PORT Enterprise, and MARS product suite within buy-side firms across the West Coast region.
Based in San Francisco, you will serve as the primary relationship owner across your accounts, partnering with portfolio managers, traders, risk managers, operations teams, and senior decision makers to ensure clients are maximizing value across their OMS, portfolio analytics, and enterprise risk workflows.
This role blends enterprise account management, consultative sales, and workflow advisory expertise. You will:
  • Drive product adoption and workflow optimization across OMS, portfolio analytics, and risk platforms
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the Bloomberg buy-side ecosystem
  • Lead complex enterprise engagements from expansion strategy through execution
  • Build senior-level relationships across front, middle, and back office stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Sales, Implementations, Product, Support, and Operations teams
  • Provide strategic feedback to product teams to influence solution evolution

Regular travel within the region is required.
We Will Trust You To:
  • Increase client usage and adoption of AIM, PORT Enterprise, and MARS through tailored engagement strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across front office, risk, operations, and executive leadership
  • Identify expansion opportunities across new teams, asset classes, and workflows
  • Generate and convert pipeline opportunities for enterprise risk and analytics solutions
  • Articulate complex product capabilities - including OMS workflows, performance attribution, multi-factor risk models, derivatives analytics, and portfolio optimization - in a consultative manner
  • Lead internal and external training sessions on product enhancements and enterprise workflows
  • Partner across Bloomberg sales teams to drive coordinated coverage strategies
  • Run complex enterprise sales engagements and manage long-term client technology road-maps
  • Contribute innovative ideas that anticipate client needs and improve our solutions
  • Support broader departmental initiatives, campaigns, mentorship, and product enhancement efforts

You'll Need To Have:
  • 3-5+ years of relevant buy-side experience in account management, enterprise sales, risk solutions, portfolio analytics, or as a market practitioner
  • Strong understanding of financial markets including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives and multi-asset portfolios
  • Deep knowledge of buy-side workflows across front, middle, and back office functions
  • Solid understanding of portfolio management concepts including performance attribution, multi-factor risk models, portfolio construction and optimization
  • Experience selling or supporting derivative risk or enterprise analytics solutions
  • Proven consultative sales skills including lead generation, pipeline management, business development and closing complex engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to grow existing relationships and uncover expansion opportunities
  • Strong presentation, communication, and training skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Availability for regular travel

  • Experience managing Tier 1 institutional asset managers, hedge funds, insurers or pension funds
  • Proven track record running complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales engagements

Salary Range = 145,000 - 235,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
