The Strategy team sits within Bloomberg Media's Integrated Marketing group, which is comprised of several teams focused on new business, thought leadership, and raising the profile of Bloomberg Media.
This role is primarily responsible for supporting the TMT vertical in leading efforts to open doors, deepen client relationships, and drive revenue as the most inventive and insights-driven media partner in the market. This includes:
  • Differentiating Bloomberg Media by bringing together the best of Bloomberg and external sources to develop insights leveraged by the media organization
  • Partnering with Sales and other teams to enrich our relationships with high priority clients and prospects
  • Enhancing audience and vertical expertise
  • Promoting efficiency by making it as easy for the media organization to self-serve via plug-and-play resources

These endeavors require close collaboration with our TMT Sales team (specifically our four regional leads), as well as working across our commercial teams (e.g., Sales Marketing, Data Science & Insight, etc.) and the broader Bloomberg LP organization, Editorial, Product, Technology, Government Relations, etc.
WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:
  • Lead, coach, and advocate for the Strategy team in partnership with Global Head of Strategy
  • Serve as the Strategy liaison for the TMT vertical

Be comfortable:
  • Pitching and presenting to senior and C-suite clients and prospects
  • Influencing senior management to build consensus around complex ideas and initiatives
  • Mining data, research, and intelligence reports for insights and implications-this includes tapping Bloomberg Intelligence, the Terminal, etc.
  • Articulating insights and leading with a point of view when working with both internal and external audiences

Bring the best of Bloomberg to each account:
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the Media organization and beyond (e.g., Bloomberg LP, Editorial, Product, Technology, Government Relations, etc.) on opportunities to add value through insights
  • Lead day to day workstreams (e.g., team coordination, team meetings, materials, presentations, client coordination, etc.)
  • Keep our team informed on trends across digital, cultural, and market areas with ideas on how to apply the thinking to our clients and our work
  • Be a solutions-oriented doer, who leans into ambiguity, loves a challenge, and enjoys getting creative to get things done

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media or equivalent
  • 10 years of global brand marketing, account management, or agency new business experience; hybrid B2B-B2C a plus
  • 6-8 years in a strategy, marketing, and/or partnerships role, e.g., strategy consulting, brand strategy, brand management, marketing strategy, strategic partnerships, etc.
  • An understanding of the B2B media landscape and industry trends
  • Expertise in strategic marketing, data analysis, account management, brand strategy, and new business, i.e., understanding a client's business and media profile, identifying the white space for Bloomberg, etc.
