This is a mid-to-senior individual contributor role reporting to the COO, working closely with home office leadership and partnering with the field to spotlight wins, share updates, and reinforce clarity and momentum.
This role is hybrid with a minimum of 1 day per week in the corporate office.
What You'll Own

  • Establish a consistent internal comms cadence for product updates, announcements, training/event promotion, and leadership messages.
  • Translate leadership direction into clear, field-friendly messaging that reduces confusion and increases adoption.

Community Engagement (Circle.so)
  • Own PFA's agent community on Circle.so, including content programming, moderation, engagement prompts, and community campaigns.
  • Partner with the field and home office to identify stories, spotlights, and updates that keep agents informed and connected.
  • Create lightweight systems that make it easy for the field to contribute (spotlights, wins, FAQs, photos, event recaps).

Content + Social (Retention-Focused)
  • Produce 5 social posts per week aligned to agent engagement goals (recognition, education, updates, community moments).
  • Refresh and maintain a consistent voice and content strategy that strengthens trust, professionalism, and pride in PFA.

Blog + SEO Basics
  • Own the editorial process for a public-facing blog and publish 1 post per month, focused on company updates, agent spotlights, and product education.
  • Improve baseline SEO hygiene (topic selection, metadata basics, internal linking, readability) and track performance.

Messaging, Brand Voice, and Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Lead discovery and definition of PFA's brand voice, then codify it into practical guidance leadership and the field can use.
  • Coordinate closely with senior leadership and home office management on messaging priorities and timing.
  • Ensure content aligns with required review processes and approvals.

Compliance Partnership
  • Work within PFA and National Life Group Compliance requirements to ensure marketing communications meet standards, approvals, and disclaimers.

Success Metrics (First 6-12 Months)
You'll be accountable for measurable improvements in:
  • Community engagement (participation, active members, posts/comments, campaign response)
  • Newsletter performance (deliverability, open rate, click rate, consistency)
  • Blog performance (traffic, time on page, steady publication cadence)
  • Content production cadence (newsletter weekly, social 5/week, blog monthly-delivered reliably)

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing communications, lifecycle/internal communications, community marketing, or related fields
  • Proven ownership of email marketing KPIs (deliverability + open/click performance) and consistent execution of campaigns/calendars
  • Strong copywriting and messaging skills (clear, concise, motivating)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and ship on a schedule
  • Comfort working in regulated environments with structured approval workflows

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in financial services, life insurance, or affiliated distribution environments (plus)
  • Circle.so experience (huge plus)
  • Blog/SEO experience (plus)
  • Proficiency with AI tools for content drafting and iteration (plus)
  • Familiarity with Slack and Monday.com (plus)

Working Style

  • Diplomatic and collaborative: you can pull stories and updates from busy leaders and the field without creating friction
  • Data-informed: you track performance, test improvements, and report results clearly

Benefits
  • HRA allowance for health insurance premiums and expenses
  • 401(k) plan with 3% Safe Harbor company contribution
  • 14 days paid time off plus holidays
  • Hybrid work arrangement
  • Office amenities including coffee and snacks
