Position Mission

The Senior Digital Marketing Manager (Content & Growth) leads the execution and optimization of FOCUS' digital presence across key channels, including social media, blog, email, and web.

This role translates established brand strategy, content pillars, and campaign priorities into cohesive, high-performing digital experiences. By partnering closely with the Brand & Creative team, this individual ensures that creative vision is consistently and effectively executed across channels while optimizing for audience engagement and growth.

Grounded in the mission of FOCUS, this role leverages digital platforms as a means of evangelization-helping reach, engage, and invite others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Additionally, this role identifies and removes barriers to execution across the digital team streamlining workflows, improving processes, and enabling teams to operate with greater clarity and efficiency. This role also plays a key leadership function within the digital team by mentoring channel owners and helping develop platform-specific strategies that effectively reach distinct audiences.

Position Responsibilities

Content Execution and Calendar Management

    Build and manage content calendars across social media, blog, email, and web

    channels based on established content pillars and campaign priorities.

    Ensure consistent cadence, alignment with organizational priorities, and timely

    execution of content across platforms.

    Incorporate key moments such as campaigns and the liturgical calendar into content

    planning.

    Editorial Translation and Channel Strategy

    Translate high-level messaging and content pillars into clear, platform-specific

    content plans.

    Adapt messaging to fit the nuances of each channel and audience.

    Ensure clarity, cohesion, and consistency in how FOCUS' message is communicated

    across digital platforms.

    Creative Partnership

    Partner with the Brand & Creative team to bring creative vision to life across digital

    channels.

    Provide input on how creative concepts should be adapted for different platforms

    and user experiences (email, web, social, blog).

    Ensure all digital content is both on-brand and optimized for engagement and

    performance.

    Team Leadership & Social Media Partnership

    Partner closely with the Social Media Manager to ensure digital content strategy is

    effectively executed across social channels.

    Provide mentorship and strategic guidance to the social media team, helping elevate

    channel-specific strategies and execution.

    Support the development of differentiated approaches across platforms (e.g.,

    Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) to better reach and engage target audiences.

    Foster clarity, alignment, and consistency in how content is planned and executed across the team.

Cultivate Divine Intimacy:

  • Personal prayer and/or daily Mass, when possible
  • Avail yourself of other spiritual opportunitiesย 
  • Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, and maintain a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people outside of FOCUS
  • Live out the moral life in Christ
  • A practicing Catholic or Christian in good standing with the Catholic Church.ย  There is no other background, qualification, or experience that can substitute for this requirement

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, content marketing, or social media
  • Experience managing organic social media channels and/or blog content
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Experience with analytics tools and performance reporting
  • Ability to translate high-level messaging into effective digital content
  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills
  • Experience with A/B testing and performance optimization

Compensation & Benefits

For this role, we anticipate paying $75,000 - $85,000/year. This range is an estimate. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the provided range and will be adjusted based on various factors including qualifications, experience, abilities, geographic location, and duties.
