Job description

Position Summary:
The Marketing Specialist supports the execution of Standlee's integrated marketing initiatives with a primary focus on consumer content, including blog and email marketing, while supporting coordination of the brand's social media presence. This role manages the day-to-day content workflow, ensuring materials are developed, formatted, reviewed, approved, and delivered in alignment with established marketing priorities and brand standards.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager, Creative, Digital, internal subject-matter experts, writers, and external partners, the Marketing Specialist helps move content from concept through execution while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery across consumer touchpoints.
This position profile identifies the key responsibilities and expectations for performance. It cannot encompass all specific job tasks that an employee may be required to perform. Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform job-related duties as may be required by his/her supervisor.
Key Performance Areas (Essential Functions of the Position):
Blog & Educational Content
  • Manage blog content from draft through review, formatting, approval, and final delivery
  • Format and optimize blog content for digital use, including headings, links, imagery, calls to action, and supporting elements
  • Coordinate content development and review with subject-matter experts, writers, Creative, and other contributors
  • Maintain the blog content calendar in alignment with campaigns, seasonal priorities, product initiatives, and educational opportunities
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager on publication and identify opportunities to extend blog content across other consumer channels

Consumer Email Content
  • Develop and coordinate consumer email content supporting campaigns, promotions, product initiatives, and educational priorities
  • Format and prepare email copy, calls to action, links, and supporting content for digital execution
  • Coordinate creative needs, content review, and approvals
  • Maintain the consumer email calendar in alignment with integrated marketing and promotional priorities
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager on deployment and review performance to inform future content

Social Media Coordination
  • Support coordination of Standlee's social media presence in alignment with integrated marketing priorities
  • Coordinate social content needs, calendars, assets, and approvals with internal teams and external partners
  • Ensure social content remains consistent with brand standards, campaign messaging, and broader consumer content
  • Support community engagement, performance review, and escalation of consumer needs as appropriate

Content & Marketing Support
  • Support the Marketing Manager in executing initiatives within the annual marketing and promotional plan
  • Maintain organized content calendars, assets, approvals, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate content needs and deadlines across Creative, Digital, subject-matter experts, writers, and external partners
  • Review consumer-facing content for accuracy, consistency, brand alignment, and completeness
  • Identify opportunities to leverage content across multiple channels

Experiences/Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in content marketing, marketing communications, email marketing, or a related role
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content formatting skills
  • Experience developing or coordinating blog, email, web, or other consumer-facing content
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners

Working Conditions
General Office Environment:
Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Typical repetitive office work - PC, telephone, and live meetings. This position is on-site in Kimberly, Idaho.
Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Able to lift 50 pounds without issue.
