Job Summary:
Mindlance is seeking a Senior Engineer, Blockchain Platforms to help build and integrate the blockchain infrastructure layer for digital asset custody and tokenization platforms. This role involves hands-on engineering focused on Layer 1 blockchain integration, infrastructure components, and wallet engineering, ensuring secure and reliable blockchain interactions.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Integrate Schwab systems with existing Layer?1 blockchains (e.g., Ethereum?based or other enterprise?relevant L1s).
โ€ข Evaluate and, where appropriate, contribute to building or extending Layer?1 capabilities to meet custody, scalability, or resiliency needs.
โ€ข Understand chain?level mechanics such as transaction lifecycle, finality, forks, reorgs, and event propagation.
โ€ข Ensure blockchain integrations are reliable under stress conditions and production loads.
โ€ข Design and build core blockchain infrastructure services, including:
โ€ข Indexers and event processors
โ€ข Block explorers and observability tooling
โ€ข Chain data services and APIs
โ€ข Interoperability and cross?chain integration components
โ€ข Ensure blockchain data pipelines are accurate, performant, and auditable.
โ€ข Support operational tooling required for troubleshooting, monitoring, and incident response.
โ€ข Contribute to wallet architecture and development, including:
โ€ข Blockchain?facing wallet services
โ€ข Transaction creation, signing workflows, and submission pipelines
โ€ข Integration with custody key management systems (MPC, HSMs, signing services)
โ€ข Ensure wallet implementations cleanly separate protocol logic, security controls, and business rules.
โ€ข Partner closely with custody and security engineers to validate end?to?end transaction flows.
โ€ข Share responsibility for custody?related blockchain workflows, including:
โ€ข On?chain transaction execution
โ€ข Event monitoring and reconciliation
โ€ข Chain?specific failure handling and recovery patterns
โ€ข Help define safe patterns for interacting with smart contracts and token standards from custody platforms.
โ€ข Ensure blockchain workflows align with custody policies, approvals, and risk controls.
โ€ข Apply modern engineering practices to build reliable, testable, and observable blockchain services.
โ€ข Leverage GenAI and agentic AI tools to accelerate:
โ€ข Protocol analysis
โ€ข Code development and testing
โ€ข Documentation and knowledge sharing
โ€ข Maintain engineering rigorโ€”speed without sacrificing correctness or safety.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
โ€ข Hands-on experience building or integrating blockchain or distributed ledger systems.
โ€ข Strong understanding of Layer-1 blockchain protocols and transaction lifecycles.
โ€ข Experience building backend services, APIs, and infrastructure components.
โ€ข Proficiency in one or more languages such as Go, Java, Rust, Python, or similar.
