Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

We seek an experienced Advanced Quality Engineer to design, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into finished products. Utilizing your knowledge and experienced you'll have the opportunity to design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products.

What you will be doing:
  • Preparation and implementation of Quality Plans based on the internal Quality System and Custom Requirements
  • Support tailoring of processes to meet Program requirements
  • Monitor build and test activities to ensure compliance to Quality Plans, Customer Requirements, and approved GDMS processes to ensure the proper level of control in place and maintained.
  • Ensure proper and effective records of the as-built product configuration
  • Monitor and participate in the Deviation and Engineering Change processes to ensure proper change management and transfer to manufacturing is completed in an effective manner
  • Monitor nonconformances and apply root cause analysis problem solving to countermeasure known systemic defects
  • Perform Program-specific audits and surveillance to evaluate the program's compliance with processes, quality plans, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in supplier evaluation and selection processes and monitor supplier performance to identify supplier development opportunities.
  • Collect and report quality metrics to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Lead systemic defect investigations and root cause/corrective action by working cross-functionally
  • Implement Quality System policies, procedures, and instructions as required.
What you bring to the table:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Fully proficient knowledge of engineering (i.e., software, electrical, systems, etc.) methodologies, tools, and standards
  • Fully proficient knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, CMMI, ISO 14001ASME, ANSI, EIA, etc.
  • Fully proficient knowledge of use of relevant inspection/measurement tools and techniques
What sets you apart:
  • Experience in defense contracting or similarly regulated industries such as medical device, automotive, or nuclear
  • Ability to speak to a specific example of leading a Continuous Improvement initiative with a cross-functional team
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or equivalent platforms
  • Background specifically in electro-mechanical or highly technical products (note: candidates with exclusively chemical or laboratory backgrounds will not be considered)
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
