About The Role & Team

Webull Pay is the digital asset/crypto arm of Webull Group, empowering users to buy, sell, transfer, and manage cryptocurrencies through a secure and intuitive platform. The Compliance Senior Associate will play a key role in safeguarding the integrity of our platform by conducting transaction monitoring, investigations across digital asset markets, and blockchain investigations including asset tracing. This individual will analyze trading activity, on-chain transactions, customer behavior, and other risk indicators to identify potential market abuse, financial crime, sanctions evasion, insider trading, market manipulation, fraud, and other suspicious activities.

The primary objective of this role is to review customer transactions and transfer activity to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices while supporting a fair, transparent, and trusted platform for our clients. Working closely with the Associate Directors and CCO, The Senior Associate will investigate alerts from Transaction Monitoring, Trade Surveillance, Cryptocurrency and Sanctions screening systems, perform detailed reviews of activity, document findings, and elevate cases that warrant regulatory reporting.

In This Role, You Will
  • Investigate Transaction Monitoring and KYT alerts from the transaction monitoring and blockchain analytics systems.
  • Review Sanctions and Adverse Media screening alerts and disposition or elevate as needed.
  • Reviewing transaction activity for manipulative trading practices, suspicious activity, issues with execution or routing, and potential financial crimes.
  • Conduct thorough Blockchain Tracing investigations into potential financial crimes, including AML, fraud, and violations of sanctions.
  • Collaborating with Finance, Operations, Cyber Security, and other teams on cross-department investigations, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines imposed by regulatory bodies.
  • Developing and enhancing surveillance, monitoring, and investigation processes, continuously improving strategies, tools, and processes to stay ahead of emerging risks.
  • Draft and submit SARs to FinCEN based on findings and the outcome of investigations.
  • Assisting in training other employees in trading rules, potential red flags, and staying informed about market developments.
  • Producing reports and documentation outlining findings and investigation results.
The Skills You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Crime, preferably in fintech or financial institution
  • Strong background and understanding of the digital currency regulatory landscape and emerging risks related to digital currency transactions , with an understanding of the compliance and regulatory frameworks that apply.
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrency blockchain tracing and blockchain tools such as Chainalysis to trace, analyze, and investigate transactions on blockchain platforms and identify risks associated with digital assets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot irregularities or patterns in data
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role is based in our St. Petersburg, FL Global HQ, where in-person collaboration fuels growth, mentorship, and innovation. At Webull, we’re committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. The base salary range is $90,000-115,000 annually, plus a discretionary bonus and full benefits.
