Familiarity with blockchain platforms (like Ethereum or Hyperledger), smart contract development, and relevant certifications (such as Certified Blockchain Developer) are highly beneficial. These competencies enable developers to build secure, reliable, and innovative blockchain solutions that meet complex business and technical requirements.

What does a blockchain developer do?

A blockchain is a digital, public transaction record or digital ledger. People usually associate it with the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, but blockchain technology can also record digital transactions with other cryptocurrencies, data, or information. Unlike other forms of finance, cryptocurrencies that rely on the blockchain are decentralized, so people can access Bitcoin and other digital currencies without going to a bank. Computer experts and cryptographers are developing additional ways to use blockchain technology, such as for trade and healthcare records.

Job description

About Us

A&M Consulting Engineers is a public-sector civil engineering firm serving California's cities — and only its cities. Since 2017, from our Visalia and Fresno offices, we've designed the streets, water systems, and public spaces Central Valley communities rely on every day. We measure our work not in tons of asphalt, but in the lives that move safely across it.

The Role

As a Community Engineer, you'll serve as an extension of our City Engineer practice — designing and delivering municipal projects with real community impact: complete streets, safe school crossings, water and stormwater systems, parks, and tactical urbanism pilots. You'll engage directly with city councils, staff, and residents.

Responsibilities

- Design transportation, water, stormwater, and parks projects for municipal clients

- Prepare plans, specifications, estimates, and engineering studies

- Present to city councils and engage residents in public meetings

- Support tactical urbanism pilots with before/after safety data

- Coordinate construction management and quality control

Qualifications

- 4+ years of civil engineering experience (municipal/public-sector preferred)

- BS in Civil Engineering

- CA EIT required; PE license (or actively pursuing) strongly preferred

- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D; strong communication skills

Why A&M

- 100% public-sector work — your projects serve communities, not shareholders

- All 7 civil disciplines in-house; small-firm ownership of your work

- Local Central Valley team, offices in Visalia & Fresno

Company Description

At A&M Consulting Engineers, we believe that professionals need to be bold. New ideas, new materials or new technology become the cornerstone of progress which allows our partners to consider solutions that may deliver greater efficiency, improve safety, improve communication, lower costs or provide better sustainability.
